Hopalong Hollow....

Hopalong Hollow, where the Blueberries grow sweet, and the moss feels soft beneath your feet.

Hither, Thither and Yon...

The Lord and Lady of the Manor have been traveling hither, thither and yon of late, but are relieved to be back at the Hollow at long last. However, you never know what sort of surprises await when one has been away from the abode. Things happen....
Strange Alliances form,

some that you would least expect.

Wild and Crazy chicks decide to settle down and raise a family...

like Demelza,

and Trudy Webbytoes.

Little, new people move into your barn....
REALLY cute, little people!

Vines take over the world!

eating your fences,

engulfing your pump house,

and devouring your tea tables and chairs!

But your summer gardens are lush...
and tall,

and BEAUTIFUL;

SWEET!

Yes, a lot can happen when one is away.
Home sweet home, there is no place like it.

  2. Dear Jeri ~ I've been wondering about you. Glad you and your hubby have returned safely to your home sweet home. I'm sure you'll have things in control before too long. Love your critters and the baby chicks are so cute.

Your country/mountain place is always a treat to see, and your stories a delight to read.

  8. Anyone is welcome to visit us here in the Hollow, just call first so we can tidy the Burrow a bit!
Meadowsweet, How are your little buffs doing? I have to confess, I pulled a switcheroo on the little black hen, those were not her eggs she hatched, they are baby buffs from another hen. But I won't tell her, if you won't!
Thankyoy scot, it is nice to be missed!

  13. Glad you're back Jeri. I find that no matter how long you've been away from the garden you can always see such growth when you come back again - even for short breaks. I'm sure that vine is well undercontrol again and that those baby chicks are twice the size now.

  14. Like a visit to my Aunt Joy's, I love love the Hollow! We are gloriously green this spring with all the rain. I'm hoping I can start my weeding, I am so behind on everything in the garden.
