Animal Crackers...

Animal Crackers in my soup,
Monkeys and rabbits loop the loop
.

Gosh oh gee, do I have fun,

Swallowing animals one by one....
  ..

In every bowl of soup I see,
 Lions and tigers watching me.
I make em jump right through a hoop,

Those animal crackers in my soup !
When I get hold of a big baboon,
then I push him under to drown.....

Then I bite him in a million bits and I gobble him right down!

When their inside me where its dark,

I walk around like Noah's Ark,

I fill my tummy like a goop,
With animal crackers in my SOUP!

WHEW! these girls DO go through a LOT of animal crackers. I was going to do this as a little movie, with Shirley Temple soundtrack and all,
BUT I have been a little bit busy...
 Drawing,

Animal Crackers in my Soup.

(and I still have a long way to go.)

  2. I was humming the song while reading your charming post. I'll bet your critters love those crackers. We once fed a box of stale orange circus peanuts to pigs and oh how they gobbled them up.

    Have a wonderful day!

  7. Thank you for the sing down memory lane. Second grade chorus, and I still remember the nuances of the arrangement and every word-I was my own sound track LOL!

  10. O.K., you are amazing. You are marvelous. You get me right where my funny bone is the most sensitive, you know how to make animals talk, and well, you are IT!!! JERI, this was SO ENTERTAINING!!! And whose furry paw is that helping you draw? THOSE GOATS ARE A HOOT! Do you know that I love goats? Patricia Cabrera from Woolytales fabricated a darling mini goat pulling a wagon and she posted it last week; it just stole my heart. Their rectangular eyes, their silly faces...oh, ANIMAL CRACKERS!!! Thank you for the charm and we await your next book! BRAVO! Anita

  12. so very funny, I could hear Shirley Temple lisping her way through the whole song. The art is coming along splendidly and I so enjoyed seeing the fuzzy live models.
