Time to plan your Potager garden!

Hello my fellow garden-gals! Starting the season with 2 new videos on planning and planting a Potager in the old fashioned style of Hopalong Hollow.

Part 1

Part 2.
Turn your volume up when the filming begins, my voice is very faint for the first few seconds.

  1. Bonjour Madame Landers! A potager garden is such a personalized plot of life to me, a place where you can build your dreams. Yours seem to have a dual life, first in your books then in your own landscape. How much better can it get? You get to use your hands to draw your dreams and then plant them to watch them grow into delicious realities. You are living your dream my friend.

    1. Anita, You have the sort of potager that I so admire, but cannot keep up with; it is more French perfection than I am able to maintain.I do love your style as much as I love my carefree look!

    2. Jeri,
Its the Acer touchpad. The slightest touch seems to select what it rolls over to change the page.

  4. Jeri, your gardening videos are my most favorite of ANY gardening videos I watch ANYWHERE. Your style of gardening is right up my alley. I get so excited when I see that you've made a new gardening video. I can also hardly wait until your newest book is published since I already know that it will have such amazing bugs and insects. Thank you from the bottom of heart for all the hard work you put into your blog, videos, books. I love it all.

    1. Diane, that really means so much to me, honest! There are so many garden channels on YouTube, I sometimes wonder if mine get lost in the crowd..To know that some people are enjoying them is very encouraging.I love this new book,it is truly a garden lovers treat.. I must warn you, however, that the preying Mantis is a bit of a villain in the story. Husband says it's a biology book!

  5. I too enjoy your gardening videos, Jeri. Your soothing affirming voice reminds the listener that gardening is fun and doable. We worked in one of our gardens today, spreading compost and planting a dogwood where we had an old oak removed that was sick. I love getting gifts in the garden that the birds have planted, such as our dogwood that we transplanted. ♥

    1. Martha, The Dogwood is our state tree. When I did a garden show a few years back, we all got a free tree.. really just a 1 foot stick. I never thought that "tree" would actually do anything, but now it's around 10ft.

    2. Jeri, all of the dogwoods on our property were gifts from our birds! We have transplanted them to spots we enjoy. We have some that are over 35 years old and bloom beautifully. The dogwood is our state tree as well. ♥

    3. Martha, bless those little birdie's hearts! We have the Annual Dogwood Festival in KNoxville;I know they have one in Georgia as well; your state probably does the same thing!
