Introducing the mouse of the manor...

You've been kind enough to follow along with the creation of
 TRIMBLE MANOR
Now it's about time you meet the little lady who lives here...
she is much more humble looking than you would expect her to be.
.
She has no lady's maid, nor cook, footman or gardener, as one would expect of someone  living in such a stately home;
Pippity does all her own cooking, canning, ironing, stitching, spinning and yardwork.

For she lives alone in this large old house... and keeps it tidy as a pin.

She would love to show you the rooms in the house, just as soon as she does all her decorating. It may take some time.
Because, for a while, Miss Trimble will be posing for me
as I draw and paint her image in my new book.
As soon as I finish drawing Trimble Manor above,
Pipp will don her checkered apron and grab her little broom, for her next picture.
Pippity is pleased to meet you!

    1. Martha,I had only planned on doing one book about Pippity, but building the house has inspired all sorts of new stories. I've written three Tales so far, and expect to publish the first 2 books in Summer.

    1. Hey! Good to see you. Yes, it really turned out far better than I had hoped and I had a wonderful time building the cunning cottage... which became more of a stunning Manor.

    1. Michelle, She is "hacking away at the Periwinkle vines, as thick as her tail"; they are blocking her walkway.

  4. So nice to meet Miss Pippity. She has such a wonderful house to call home. She inspires me with her industriousness in caring for this large place all alone. I look forward to seeing her more and reading about her life.

    1. Shes very much like you Lorraine, doing everything on her own. You live in a cottage and she lives in a Manor, but the workload is just the same!

  7. I have been admiring your Manor building from afar. You amaze me. Is there anything you can't do? I don't always comment as my Ipad is picky. Seems I hardly use my big computer much, but today I just had to wish you a happy day! Stay creative!

    1. Patti, she is looking for just the right sewing machine. I found this teeny treadle whose wheel actually turns and the foot pedal moves up and down from Germany. But the cost is so high, you could but a full size machine for the same price. So, it is on Pippity's wish list.

    1. Natascha, It took 5 weeks to build, much longer than i thought it would take. But it was worth the time. Of course, the inside is completely bare.

  12. Jeri, Trimble Manor is simply amazing! The thatched roof, the chimney pots, just unbelievable how you did all this. Pippety is adorable. It's hard to stop looking at all the detail.

    1. Thank you Henny Penny! I've had the best time building this place, but I'm glad to be finished with the building. The rooms will be much easier to complete and even more detailed.

  13. Wow Pippity certainly has a lot of work to get through on a daily basis. Where does she get all her energy---super foods or what? Does she have a garden where she grows her own organic vegetables? Or is she just very industrious and well organized. Maybe with such a large house to take care of she could take in boarders who could work out their room and board with help around the house. I would worry about her wearing herself out with all that work, she doesn't look very sturdy but maybe as my Mama would say she "may be little but she's wirey."

    1. Vic, Pippity's house is in the the corner of a vast and lovely garden,a flower garden, that is. Plenty of seeds drop right at her doorstep, which she promptly stores in her pantry. She is loaded with energy, gets up every morning at 5:00 and bakes bread, does her washing and heads out to the garden to do clean up.
