You've been kind enough to follow along with the creation of
TRIMBLE MANOR
Now it's about time you meet the little lady who lives here...
she is much more humble looking than you would expect her to be.
She has no lady's maid, nor cook, footman or gardener, as one would expect of someone living in such a stately home;
Pippity does all her own cooking, canning, ironing, stitching, spinning and yardwork.
For she lives alone in this large old house... and keeps it tidy as a pin.
She would love to show you the rooms in the house, just as soon as she does all her decorating. It may take some time.
Because, for a while, Miss Trimble will be posing for me
as I draw and paint her image in my new book.
As soon as I finish drawing Trimble Manor above,
Pipp will don her checkered apron and grab her little broom, for her next picture.
Pippity is pleased to meet you!

Pippity Trimble must surely have a wonderful story that will pique my interest in her Manor. I'm looking forward to seeing her decorated home and reading about her life. ♥
ReplyDeleteMartha,I had only planned on doing one book about Pippity, but building the house has inspired all sorts of new stories. I've written three Tales so far, and expect to publish the first 2 books in Summer.
DeleteHopalong Hollow Gazette...What a lovely place to spend an evening. I've gone back and back readin' and lookin' and shakin' my head in amazement! You wanted a "cunning and wonderful dwelling for a mouse," and sure enough, that's what you got! I love it all....
ReplyDeleteHey! Good to see you. Yes, it really turned out far better than I had hoped and I had a wonderful time building the cunning cottage... which became more of a stunning Manor.
DeleteJust look at that picture of Miss Pippity with her tiny little mouse size scythe! It's so adorable....I just love little things! You have a lot of people waiting for the inside tour ;-)
ReplyDeleteMichelle, She is "hacking away at the Periwinkle vines, as thick as her tail"; they are blocking her walkway.
DeleteSo nice to meet Miss Pippity. She has such a wonderful house to call home. She inspires me with her industriousness in caring for this large place all alone. I look forward to seeing her more and reading about her life.
ReplyDeleteLove & hugs to you dear Jeri ~ FlowerLady
Shes very much like you Lorraine, doing everything on her own. You live in a cottage and she lives in a Manor, but the workload is just the same!
DeleteHOLY COW.......
ReplyDeleteSpeechless.
I can't wait to see the INSIDE of this place! Well done, Jeri. BRAVA!
Thanks Anita! We will do the kitchen first... still contemplating flooring.
DeleteWonderful!! We wait with anticipation to see her decorating skills!! Such a lovely manor house for Pippity!!
ReplyDeleteBeverly, I think you will identify with her tastes in furniture and style... I know I do!
DeleteI have been admiring your Manor building from afar. You amaze me. Is there anything you can't do? I don't always comment as my Ipad is picky. Seems I hardly use my big computer much, but today I just had to wish you a happy day! Stay creative!
ReplyDeletePatti, she is looking for just the right sewing machine. I found this teeny treadle whose wheel actually turns and the foot pedal moves up and down from Germany. But the cost is so high, you could but a full size machine for the same price. So, it is on Pippity's wish list.
DeleteI still love my mouse and see her everyday.
ReplyDeleteDonna, Yes, you got a really sweet little singing mouse, her sister moved in with my mom for Christmas last year.
DeleteCan't wait to order the book! Keep us posted for release :)
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to publish in the Summer, but I will really have to keep my paintbrushes wet and move on quickly.
DeleteOh sigh...what a wonderful house! And I have to say-I love the mousie's NOSE! It's so darn cute! It's been a highlight of reading blogs to come here-it always has been. Please hug a goose or duck for me when you can! :)
ReplyDeleteDebra, I'm huggin a goose for you! Thanks for joining in on the "Build".
DeleteSo lovely.... I am amazed at how quickly you built and completed the outside of the house. It just looks so wonderful and like such a fairytale house !
ReplyDeleteNatascha, It took 5 weeks to build, much longer than i thought it would take. But it was worth the time. Of course, the inside is completely bare.
DeleteJeri, Trimble Manor is simply amazing! The thatched roof, the chimney pots, just unbelievable how you did all this. Pippety is adorable. It's hard to stop looking at all the detail.
ReplyDeleteThank you Henny Penny! I've had the best time building this place, but I'm glad to be finished with the building. The rooms will be much easier to complete and even more detailed.
DeleteWow Pippity certainly has a lot of work to get through on a daily basis. Where does she get all her energy---super foods or what? Does she have a garden where she grows her own organic vegetables? Or is she just very industrious and well organized. Maybe with such a large house to take care of she could take in boarders who could work out their room and board with help around the house. I would worry about her wearing herself out with all that work, she doesn't look very sturdy but maybe as my Mama would say she "may be little but she's wirey."
ReplyDeleteVic, Pippity's house is in the the corner of a vast and lovely garden,a flower garden, that is. Plenty of seeds drop right at her doorstep, which she promptly stores in her pantry. She is loaded with energy, gets up every morning at 5:00 and bakes bread, does her washing and heads out to the garden to do clean up.
DeleteSo very nice to meet Pippity. You have done an amazing job creating her beautiful home. Can't wait to see the inside. I don't know how you do it all Jeri.
ReplyDeleteHi Fran,After finishing that house build, I feel like I am relaxing, doing something I really love to do, draw!
DeleteIt will be such fun to have a real-life model to draw from for your mouse and her house! I hope you will include a photograph of the house in your book!
ReplyDeleteCathy, I will have a photograph of the house on the book flap, for sure. I've been drawing the house from many different angles for the past few days
DeleteVery pleased to meet you, Pipp. Your house is splendid. I'm looking forward to that tour. Do take your time in arranging all the decorating. xo
ReplyDeleteFrances, Indeed, we will take much care and consideration in house decor. And much shopping must be done for just the right furnishings.
DeleteDear Jeri Ms. Trimble is just lovely and I can't wait to see her decorated rooms as well as the new book. As always your drawings are just perfect and so whimsical and sweet. Looks like you are going to be quite busy in the coming weeks. Have a lovely day - Hugs1
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I am so pleased to say that I'm moving at a speedy pace because I love working on a new book!
DeleteHello Miss Pippity!! You are one very fortunate Mousie!! Such a beautiful~Tudor Cottage~ to live in! But you are very hard working, creative and resourceful, and there is not a finer home around to behold then yours!!!
ReplyDeletexxx ooo
Indeed, mine is the finest home in garden and I am sole Mistress of the Manor! I'm also the caretaker of all the growing things in my midst, but would much appreciate any tips you may have in keeping bees. Fondly from the Manor, Pippity Trimble
DeleteSo nice to meet you, Pippity Trimble! You will be a busy little mouse decorating your beautiful cottage..
