Online event for lovers of Traditional Folk arts and Crafts... 50 artists!

Please hop over to the Early American Folk Arts and Trades Marketplace to  see a preview of the online show which will take place on Oct. 15th and 16th.
There will be over 50 artists participating with some wonderful traditional work for sale:
Here is the link. Note, this is only a preview of some of the artists work.

The variety in work will be marvelous for those who love real folkart: Braided and hooked rugs, fine handmade furniture, floorcloths, redware pottery, bandboxes, shaker boxes, carvings, traditional dolls, quiltwork, samplers, trampwork and much much more.

I've been quite busy with show prep over the last 2 weeks for my November shows.
That's why I haven't been posting here much.
Had to put my paints aside for the fiber-work.
I'm not sure what items I will be putting in the online show. We can only list one thing at a time. When that item sells, we can list something else.
So what do ya think? A bird, sheep or mouse pincushion?
A rabbit?
Hmmmmm... I just don't know.
If you like folk art, please be sure to mark your calendar for Oct 15th and follow the link I Will provide on that day.

  1. Can't wait and can't help to pick an item for the sale. They are all wonderful. Maybe one that you have an extra of?

  3. It's so difficult to pick just one example of your witty, skilled artistry. Even so, I think I would suggest the rabbit...perhaps it's the bonnet that is calling to me.

It will be a treat to see the online shop, but so much better for the folks who will actually be able to go to the show. xo

    1. Frances, Rabbits are the best sellers. Who can deny the charm of a hare in a top hat or rose covered bonnet?! Mice are second favorites.. I hope to get the chance to sell several things online. If not, they will travel with me to the shows in VA., Tn., N.C., and S.C..

    1. Hi Missy, Don't know if it will keep me busy: this is the first time the site has had an online show so it's something of an experiment. If I sell even one item, I'll be pleased.

  7. Hi Jeri,
I say list the rabbit.. The last photo. She is just adorable! I love the way you have fashioned her bonnet and apron too, and the colors are so soft.
The first photo up makes such a GRAND statement! You my friend, are a true master of your art.
I wanted you to know I received your email and did reply. Maybe it landed in your junk mail.

I just knew you had been busy creating as always... Outstanding work!
    fondly,
    Penny

    1. Thank you my dear Penny! I take your compliment with humility since it was you who first made me aware of Needle-felting with your wonderful creations. My table is covered in mohair bodies and woolen heads just now, what a mess of body parts I have to untangle!
