ReplyDeleteI love your gang of creatures. I can see how you get your inspiration for your wonderful art and stories. Absolutely charming.
Say hi to the gang for me.
Ruben
Oh I so love this little featurette!!! JERI DARLIN'!!!!!!! Thank you my dear friend for coming to visit me AND Ruben last night! I cannot believe that the Eve is upon us now...yes, our mother's were wise, weren't they? And even in hard financial times, my mother knew that a PENCIL could take me a long way as far as keeping me occupied. My parents and older half sister recognized that I enjoyed story telling through doodles and letter writing. My half sister only lived about a mile away with her husband and children, but I would write her letters and mail them. She was really the only relative that said something different from the others who would say, "YOU SHOULD BE AN ARTIST!" ---- NO, SHE SAID, "Anita, you should be a writer." Ahhh....now that stuck in my head.
ReplyDeleteSending YOU a tight hug and squeeze for all the animals on this most HOLY of observations: To remember to love one another.
Anita
Jeri, this is BEAUTIFUL! Thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Cousin Jeri,
ReplyDeleteLove your pretty manger display in the soft light! Your video with music is delightful! We think that the Peabody Boys could use some Peahen lady friends to wow with their fantastic display of feathers! But then you will have to keep the ladies caged to keep them from running away with the wild turkeys as they are known to do! How we love to see that frisky little Jemima running about and her Mama is so sweet!
So sorry to hear about your Christmas tree crash and the loss of some of your favorite things, on Christmas Eve of all nights! Naughty kitty indeed! Our tree is about 5' 4". We love the size and it has such an old fashioned feel, especially with the fence around it.
Have you ever heard of the song "Dominick the Donkey"? Sarah and I heard it on the radio. I had never heard it before. You can find it on Youtube. When we go to the barn we sing it to Louisa May because if her ears were up she would remind us so very much of a donkey!
Your cousins,
Diane and daughter Sarah at the Corgyncombe Courant
Warmest wishes, dear Jeri to you and your family for a merry Christmas, with much love, joy and peace and a year ahead, filled with happy days.

Dear Jeri,
ReplyDeleteThis post was just what I needed to wind down from the overload of "not quite old-fashioned" gifts the children received from the grandparents! I think that your amateur videos are just perfect; they remind me of old-time news footage (that's meant to be a compliment). :)
Love,
Marqueta

BONNE ANNEE 2012
I just viewed your pre-Christmas post - the video is the best and couldn't have been better - I loved the "courting peacock" has anyone told him that chickens aren't peacocks (LOL)... and Jememia's antics were the cutest - how lucky you are to live with these creatures of God... And I agree with Deb - how perfect to end it with the kitty... I know when it comes times to do the day-to-day chores of caring for the Noah's Arc you live with, it must be tiring and hard work - but when you see this video, it makes it all worthwhile - it brings a bit of the real world to my small apartment in NY. Thank you ever so much for all your posts. You bring smiles and thoughts to my life that wouldn't have been there if you weren't.
ReplyDeletePatsyAnn, Yes, that peacock is having a bit of an identity crises... he even struts in front of the cats. Poor thing! We would bring in a female but I am afraid the 2 males would just start fighting if I did.
ReplyDeleteMy son lives in NY City, so he also appreciates a visit to the old farm, via video, from time to time. Thank you so much for YOUR visits!
Absolutely Charming... what a darling video.. doesn't look like you need to change a thing!!! it's perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love all your critters, Jeri!
