Mamseys Potting shed

Mamsey Bear's potting shed sits in the snow half- finished.

She expects this to be completed before she wakes up from her winters nap.
But those Beavers have not cut the wood for her walls yet.
She has this lovely RED door just waiting to be hung....

It came all the way from England..... that's far from Hopalong Hollow.
She'll NEED those walls to hang all her garden hats...
And she NEEDS a place to store all her garden tools....
And somewhere to put all her garden books..

And all her STUFF...

The Chickens want another cozy corner to  lay their lovely
eggs...
.

So those beavers better hurry up and cut that wood.....
Because Mamsey will be waking up REAL soon.
And you don't want to make a mother Grizzly angry.

  2. What a charming blog you have made and a wonderful place to visit. I have always loved and collected fairy tale books from when I was a child (wish I still had them) so I feel right at home here. I must say there is also something of the feel of the Hill at Bag End and Hobbiton about the edges that is delightful.

Your potting shed is going to be a treat! Love the door.

We used to have goats and I miss them. They were Kristine's herd of dairy goats that she raised and showed in 4-H. They were like big sweet dogs.

Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog.

  3. Marie, Hmmmm, I guess you have a point. Okay, we'll give those beavers a few more weeks, but that's all. If they don't get that wood cut by then, we'll go to the competition at Willy Woodchuck's Woodland Sawmill!
    Callie, I love the SHIRE!
My goats can be a real pain, all goats are escape artists who just KNOW that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. But, I love em anyway!

  5. Noel, That really IS a bright color, I believe it was painted with Enamel.... but I kinda like it, now that I have been staring it for months.

  8. Your art is so lovely. I love the detail and observation of nature that have gone into your whimsical creations. It's my first time here, so I just have to say that. I was struck more by the art than by the post... but now to the post: What a fantastic door, and a fabulous collection of hats, worthy of a fair-skinned person who takes her outdoor pursuits seriously. :)

  12. Yeah for Spring Deborah! Isn't that door the best! I have another one, even older, It is pale blue on the inside, green and mustard on the outside. It has ancient looking hardware on it and a transom. I have some great plans for that one as well.
