A Gathering of Hares

Hello from the HOLLOW!
Thursday
I have been unable to post and visit due to a heavy  schedule, but would like to introduce you to a few of the reasons.
Meet my latest gathering of Hares which will accompany us to the last 4 shows of the year in:
Columbia S.C., Franklin, Tn., Knoxville, Tn. and Greensboro, N.C.
My Rabbits are inspired by my book illustration and are created using sheep's wool, Alpaca, Mohair, handmade felt,  cotton, vintage fabrics and buttons. All the bunnies are weighted to stand firmly and have the most beautiful glass eyes and charming faces.
Honestly, you  have to hold them in your palm to truly fall in love.
Photos don't really portray the varied personality of each little person.
This batch of buns stand around 7" and
the cost is $225 to $250.  I do hope some of you are able to meet them in person  at a show listed beneath.
I am finishing up all the Hopalong Hollowfolk that have been patiently waiting in baskets and bags.
Each day I will post a picture of what I have finished during the day, so please stay tuned to this page daily .

  2. Hello there in the Hollow! My you have been busy! Ahhh Jeri, one would think you could not possibly outdo yourself, but you certainly have... I love them all! Would that be a wet-felted vest that Mr. Lawrence is wearing? And I adore Doty.
I wish I could attend one of the shows, but it is just so very far away... Wishing you the best at your upcoming show. I can't wait to see the caroling mice... I will check back tomorrow.
    fondly,
    Penny

    1. Penny, Yes it is a wet-felted vest, I love that soft, soft felt feel. It would be so great to see you at a show, or anywhere for that matter.

  4. Love your latest bunny creations! I know I'd fall in love if I held any of them. I think Pippa is so adorable.

    1. Hi Rainy, I think Pippa will find a home pretty quickly because she has an endearing look on her face that says " Let's be best friends?"

  8. Precious stuff. I like to imagine the conversations they are having together. Here we go again - smile for the photos everyone. Ready to travel? Oh yes. Wonder where she is taking us. Things like that as I am sure they all have unique personalities for certain. Best of luck at your shows. Can't wait to see the mice!

  10. These are just the sweetest things. I think Pippa is the pick of the litter. Do bunnies come in litters or something else entirely?

Hope the shows go well for you and that the rainy weather goes away and you have sunshine rather than showers.

  11. I love, love, love those bunnies! I so need one to hold in my hand...

  12. Jeri, I do have an idea of what is required to create these little beauties. Beginning with the original inspiration and stories, each character begins to develop a unique personality, and that when your sculptural felting and other textile talent comes into play.

They are fabulous bunnies. I envy the luck of the folks who'll be attending the next fairs....

Best wishes, and Happy Halloween. xo
