Besides the "Hallelujah Chorus", nothing stirs my soul like "O Holy Night". I found this magnificent rendetion on You tube this morning. I wanted to start Christmas morning with the best attitude and this song brought tears of joy to my eyes.
Please turn up the volume!
.
What make this version so fantastic, over and above all the others I watched, is this:
The man believes what he is singing, as does everyone in the Choir. I loved it,
Just Glorious Jeri! Sure made me want to sing right along with them.
ReplyDeleteThank you and Merry Christmas!
Oh dearest Jeri,
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE SONG for Christmas...it sends chills up my spin and makes me look at the dark, star-studded sky every night with such wonder....and this chap's rendition is about the most beautiful BECAUSE he believes.....I hope your celebration was special...ours was. Simple, sweet, and with a special invitation to our neighbor's home across the snow covered street. Good food, laughter and CHOCOLATE WINE made this Christmas a pleasant one indeed. Having you blogger friends drop by as well is always the topping on the cake, and may your new year be filled with much health, success and joy.
I am so happy to have found you through Penny; she was right....I so enjoy you so much.
HUGS TO YOU AND TO HAMISH and the GANG!!!
BISOUS, Anita
Dear Jeri ~ O Holy Night is probably my favorite of the season too. This rendition was great and I also had tears running and joy flowing when they all started singing at the end. David has a beautiful voice, and is using it to glorify God. What a great piece to hear at the ending of Christmas day.

JERI!!! Good morning.....thanks to YOU for coming by for a greeting! YOU LOVE PRIDE AND PREJUDICE TOO? I SEE YOUR LIST OF FAVORITE MOVIES AND WE are on the same boat here....I just watched Girl with the Pearl Earring two nights ago....and I LOVE MISS POTTER and The Tale of Beatrix Potter....I also love SENSE AND SENSIBILITY and really almost every Jane Austen and British film! We too cozied up on the couch with our pot of Chocolate Hazelnut tea with whipped milk.....wooo hoooo....then with a ton of snow on our window sills to look at; now that is a good life. Now all I need are some critters around the house and we are all set.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU DEAREST FRIEND!
Anita
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, I thoroughly enjoyed the rendition of O Holy Night you chose for Christmas morning.
ReplyDeleteHi Jeri~ Thanks for visiting my blog. Yours is terrific. Love your work. Your life on the farm looks idyllic. Having said that, we have lived and worked on a farm so I know what is involved in that "idyllic" life. q:>)
ReplyDeleteDear Jeri,
ReplyDeleteNow I have another FAVORITE to add to my favorite Illustrators!!
Your Art is just BEAUTIFUL!! :-)
I shall be looking forward to visiting your Blog often (and collecting your books too)!
I have a confession.... I have made a hat for my goose Buttercup and Fraser my sheep has a "Plaid Tam o'Sham" hat! But now (chuckle chuckle) I am not ashamed to admit it! (Even though Grouchy Mrs Buttercup did not approve)!! I must find those pictures....
Many Blessings to you, Linnie
