Tea with the Rabbits

Rabbits enjoy their tea times year round, I am more of a winter tea drinker. Simple tea, such as Red Rose, with a wee bit of sweetener, served in beautiful teapots and cups.... that is what we like.

Rabbit size Tea sets

Tea originated in China in 2750 BC. The Dutch were the first to drink tea in Europe and introduced it to Britain in about 1640. Tea soon became the favorite beverage replacing even wines and liquors. This became a bit of a problem with the government because they lost a lot of money from liquor taxes, hence, tax the tea! Well, the tea tax was passed on to the colonies and we all know how THAT turned out! We like the flavor of Earl Grey, Irish Breakfast and Red Rose. Mother Whiskerkins makes a very special brew using lemongrass, mint and sassafras. In every box of Red Rose, you get a little figurine. The company has been including these in their boxes for over 41 years and some are quite sweet. Celestial Seasonings designs the most beautiful tea boxes. The rabbits have always favored the Sleepytime Tea box.... it reminds them of their beloved Hopalong Hollow.
