    1. It seems like every thing is blooming too quickly, and I wonder what will be left for July and August.

  2. Oh, the photos are just gorgeous! My echinacea and rudbeckia , if I'm lucky, will maybe look like that in a couple months. Lol. What delightful gardens! BTW, thanks for the tip about the Acorn series. Right up my alley!

  4. Oh Jeri, the Hollow looks perfect. The dovecot looks fab and I'd like to see it closer. I bet there is a ton more to see. Time to show us a peek inside too. It has been a long time.

  6. Just beautiful. I wish my stuff was as far along as yours. The summer garden walk is stopping here tomorrow and I really don't have much in bloom to look at. A late cool spring seems to have delayed bloom here. Also the remnants of Tropical Storm Bill will be moving through so the turnout may be small and so the lack of blooms won't really matter except to me.

What is the plant in the foreground of picture number 8. Such wonderful leaf shapes. I feel like I should know what it is but it just won't come. Mccleya or something along those lines???? I seem to remember either shade or water needed but don't see much evidence of that in the picture.

I do think I need some of it-----what ever it might be. Thus speaks the plantaholic.

The four little peeps peeking out of the nest are adorable

    1. That plant in the foreground, you don't want it in your garden. It is a Mulberry tree sprig that I have not pulled out yet! The Mulberrys plant themselves everywhere around here.

    2. You are so right, I don't want a mulberry tree poking out in the middle of one of my flower beds! But the leaves are a wonderful shape.

We got sun yesterday for the garden tour after a rainy start. About 250 people yesterday and another four hours worth to come through starting just about now. What fun to talk to most of them about flowers, flowers, flowers. We also got to meet the children, grandchildren and one great grandchild of the people who built the house here, it was so fun to hear them reminisce about growing up here.

  7. Jeri, your Birds and bee's Thatched roof Haven looks wonderful! The photo of the baby birds just warms my heart... The Hollow in full bloom looks so beautiful, with details everywhere.
I just love your wattle fence and brick path.. And to think you put down every single brick. I really admire your work. And how sweet is the two little birds with their heads poking out of their lovely home. Thank you for this post! I really enjoyed.

  9. GOOD MORNING JERI LANDERS!

What a symphony of praise for the halfway point of the year! Full of bloom and song is this month! I JUST LOVE that photo of the white birdhouse with the little smiling faces poking out of the whole! I know you just love this, and I also adore the life and newness of the garden.

We had been away for 10 days at Carmel by the Sea, California. What a haven of land and sea, of sweet (but very expensive) fairytale cottages and awesome gardens. We saw much different flora and fauna (we saw ground squirrels at the beach, sea lions and otters during dinner at the wharf and awesome dogs on the beaches) and now we are home. We missed the peonies here this year and yesterday when I went to purchase some flowers for my pots, to my chagrin, there was NO MORE blue lobelia....but that is a fair trade for the wonder I witnessed on our vacation.

Gorgeous photos, perfect praise for God's gift of nature to us.

HAVE FUN and give those big geese a hug for me! teeheeeee

    1. Anita, I was glad I snapped that picture of the 2 baby barn-swallows, the very next day they had gone!
What a fabulous trip by the sea. I recall my brief sightseeing tour of Carmel, such cottages I had never seen before.

  11. JERI!!!!!! Good morning and happy day! It is wonderful to see your comment on my blog! Yes, our trip to that magical land of sea and gardens, fairytale homes and art galleries was sensational. We walked the beach every day, ran the sand dunes daily as well, took plenty of photos! I have some of them posted on my Instagram, if you'd like to take a peek:

I will however, be posting on this trip for sure by next month!

Oh Jeri, I am having so much fun in my garden. The wrens are making another nest, they sing all day, my rose climber is taking off, and I am loving it all. Say "hi" to the feathered gang for me!

  14. The hollow is looking quite lovely. Love the day lilies. Mine are doing ok. Love seeing the baby birds. We've had a few of those, too. Heat is setting in here in Texas so it's not as fun being outside unless it's early morning. Have a great day.
