Hope you all enjoy an excellent Holiday. James and I will be off to a 3 day show and spend our Holiday in a Hotel...BOOOO! I can't remember the last time I had a family meal on Thanksgiving. It is not too late too sign in for the free book drawing in the post below. I won't choose names till Dec 18th. Surely you would like to win a first edition copy of this book? C'mon Ladies, throw you hat in the ring, it's fun!
Oh my goodness, I don't think I have thrown my hat in. Well, here it is. I want to wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving, Jeri. Ours is behind us now and we are in full Christmas mode. We got our first snow that actually stayed this weekend and it is very cold. That should get the pokey ones into the spirit. Hugs, Deb
ReplyDeleteGood to see your Deb!
DeleteI won't be cooking for the first time in many, many years. I am having knee surgery wednesday and a sweet neighbor invited us to eat. Will have to get ready for Christmas after that my daughter and her family will be here December 20. YAY! Have a good holiday and take care, friend!
ReplyDeleteAnd my 87 year old mother will be here on December 19th! Well wishes on your knee surgery.
DeletePrecious friend, I am so very late.....school things and stuff like that there!
ReplyDeletePUT MY NAME IN THE BASKET for your win! Oh Jeri, I wish you a magnificent Thanksgiving! Now off to school...Anita
Indeed your name's in the hat!
DeleteHello dear-have a wonderful Thanksgiving-stay safe too, in all your travels...just to answer your question about what video editing program I use-it's Windows Movie Maker-it came free with my new computer, and works so much better than the one I bought. :( I'd love to know if your music is free to use on videos-I love it.
ReplyDeleteTake care, God bless and keep you. Return home safe.
Love, Debra
Debra, Some of my music comes from my movie maker, or you tube editor. But most of the music I use is purchased off of Amazon as an mp3, If I want to use it in a video, I give credit to the artist. Usually their name and a link will appear beneath the video,,, at least it is supposed to.
DeleteI was feeling kinda greedy after my last win and hadn't entered to win the book but you talked me into asking you to add my name. I'd love to win.
ReplyDeleteHope where you are staying has a great Happy Thanksgiving spread and that you have a good one. Oma Linda
I won 3 times on a fellow bloggers contest. She couldn't believe my luck and neither could I!

It's not easy to keep a bonnet on a chicken, unless they are sitting on eggs!

Dearest Jeri...Yasmine here from Eureka Springs, Arkansas...PLEASE, PLEASE throw my name in the Hat for your lovely book...Shari and I are so excited about having it in the BACK PORCH for next season...Much success at the upcoming year of "Shows" hopefully Dave and I will see you at one or two..
ReplyDeleteCongratulations my dear...Yas ;o)
yASMINE, Missed you at the Country Living Fair! Did you and the gals make that trip to England?
DeleteHello, Jeri, yes I'd love to have my name in the hat too. Also, I'd love to know more about keeping farm animals as pets. How much time overall does it take every day to take care of your animal friends. Do ducks and geese make good pets?
ReplyDeleteStephie, Well it depends on the pet. Most farm animals are pretty self sufficient if they have a meadow, access to water and a nice structure for escaping bad weather ( and for safety) . I give all my animals treats in the morning and fill the grain bins once a day. They don't require tons of affection and attention because they have so many barn mates to keep them occupied. The donkeys like a good petting and one goat does too. The others don't even want to be touched.Geese are marvelous noble guardians and can be friendly IF you get them as goslings and handle them, same with ducks. But always have two, they need a friend besides you. Ducks are the happiest and funniest of characters and I could sing their praises all day long. But they must have a source of water, such as a creek or pond, no matter how small. A duck without water is miserable, it is the joy of their life to splash and play in the wet.Ducks are adorable and stay busy constantly, The females lay wonderful huge eggs as well. I advise you to get a pair of ducklings and hand raise them. You will love them!
DeleteI hope your Thanksgiving was lovely, nonetheless! Wishing you many sweet blessings, dear Jeri! I hope the show was a big success....how can one look at your books and not want them all???! :)))
